At Spotlight Sessions, we believe in the power of music to inspire and transform. Our summer program offers immersive experiences in pop and movie music, where students can explore their creativity, hone their skills, and forge lifelong connections with fellow musicians. Join us for an unforgettable journey into the heart of musical expression.
Choose between our Pop Music Spotlight or Movie Music Spotlight, or register for both! Each Spotlight Session will include 2 days of music, camaraderie, and creativity.

Materials Needed
Students are responsible for renting their own instruments. I recommend the following stores/websites:

Please DO NOT get an instrument from Amazon, Walmart, or Costco. These are my favorite places to shop, but all of their instruments are what I call “toy instruments” — they look like a real instrument, but they do not work properly and can never produce a good sound. Do yourself a favor and rent from a reputable store!
All students need an instrument, bow, and rosin. Violin and viola players need a shoulder rest, and cello and bass players need rock stops. Music stores can provide you with these accessories.
Instrument Rentals
We have a small amount of instruments available to rent directly from our program. We currently have the following instruments available, and we will update this list once they are rented out:
Violins
- 1/4-size violin
- 4/4-size violin
Cellos
- 1/4-size cello
Basses
- 3/4-size bass

Students will reserve the instrument for the entire semester. There will be a $50 fee to cover maintenance costs. We will distribute instruments on a first-come first-served basis, so reach out now if you’d like to rent one!
