Each week, I will post a review on our blog so that you can see what we did that day. This can also be helpful if your student needs to know what to practice or if your student has to miss a rehearsal.

Beginning Orchestra
Since we have some new people in our Beginning Orchestra, we spent our rehearsal relearning the parts of the instrument and going over how to take care of our instruments. We then learned our open strings and practiced going between them.
We started learning Salamander Samba — in your folders, there is a sheet that tells you where the open strings are located on a staff. We tried to go through and write what the open strings were on Salamander Samba. Don’t worry, we will go through it again next week!
Intermediate Orchestra
In the Intermediate Orchestra, we listened to each of our pieces and tried to learn a little bit of each one. This week, please practice the following sections:
- The Abandoned Funhouse — measures 1 through 25
- Guldfaxe — measures 1 through 19
- Icicles — measures 1 through 13
- Momentous — measures 1 through 17
Advanced Orchestra
In the Advanced Orchestra, we listened to each of our pieces and tried to learn a little bit of each one. This week, please practice the following sections:
- Turbulence — measures 1 through 18
- Appalachian Sunrise — measures 1 through 21 (watch out for F and C naturals!)
- Bones — measures 1 through 19
- Momentous — measures 1 through 17
